A vision & a dream

Founder’s History

Founder’s Coffee and Mercantile is located in the historic Onsdorff House in downtown Battle Ground, Washington.

The Onsdorff home was built in 1935 for Peter Onsdorff, who founded several enterpises including a buggy company, organized the first school and church in Battle Ground. In addition, we have about 20 local entrepreneurs who are “founding” their own small business, which is how we got our name! Founder’s.

During renovations, care was taken to keep and repurpose historical pieces of the home preserved for our guests and future generations to enjoy.
